2. Can I see whole file name on TV?
AivX will show the first letters & last letters of file name together with extension.
For English file name, 25 letters can be shown on TV.

3. When I turn on AivX, there is no signal on TV, what should I do?
You should check TV-Out format.
Press "T/O" button on your remote control in order to fix suitable TV-Out.

4. I could not control the volume when I set the audio to digital 5.1ch, what should I do?
If the "audio output" is set to "Digital", you can control the volume by using 5.1ch receiver's remote control.

5. Can I use FM transmitter & stereo at the same time?
Yes, you can.
You can select FM frequency & audio output from "System Setup" menu.

6. How can I connect AivX to PC?
You can connect AivX to your PC using USB data cable.
If you connect AivX to your PC, it will be recognized as "USB Mass Storage" in USB controller in device manager.

7. Do I need to install a software driver?
You don't need to install a software driver except Windows 98(SE).

8. How to install a software driver on Windows 98(SE)?
1) Insert the provided software driver CD into CD-ROM on your PC.
2) Execute "Setup.exe" file from USB folder in Windows folder.
3) Click "Next" button to install Win98 driver on your PC.

4) Select "I accept the terms of the license agreement" and press "Next".

5) When you finish the software driver installation successfully, you will get the below wizard.

6) Press "Finish" to complete installation.

9. How to install AivX on Windows ME/2000/XP?
1) Connect AivX to your PC using USB data cable.
2) AivX will be automatically recognized as "USB Mass Storage Device" in USB controller in
device manager.



3) Please make sure that the removable HDD icon is created in "My Computer" as shown below;

* <usbntmap.sys.> etc.. file can be requested on Windows ME.
You can find it in the base2.cab in WIN9X folder in Windows ME original CD.

10. How to safely disconnect AivX on Windows ME/2000/XP?
1) If AivX is installed correctly, the below icon appears in the task bar.

2) If you want to physically disconnect AivX from the PC after using, click left mouse button on the icon and select "Safely Remove Hardware".

3) Select "Stop" button when you see the following wizard.



4) Remove AivX from your PC when you see the following message.

11. How to make new partition & format the HDD on Windows 98(SE)/ME?

1) Click on "Start", select "Run" and type "fdisk" and press "OK".

2) Select "5" to select the HDD in AivX to make new partition.

3) Select hard disk number for AivX and press "Esc" key.

4) Select "1" to create DOS partition.

5) Select "1" to create Primary DOS partition

6) Disk integrity examination will be performed automatically.

7) Set up the size of partition when disk integrity examination is completed. Type "Y" if you want to use full size of HDD. Then disk integrity examination will be performed again.

8) After disk integrity examination is completed, the message "Primary DOS Partition created, driver letters changed or added" will appear. Press "Esc" key.

9) You will see a new HDD in "My Computer" then, press the right mouse button on
new HDD
to format.

10) Select "Full" and click "Start".

11) Format will be done. You can use AivX now.

12. How to make new partition & format the HDD on Windows ME/2000/XP?

1) You can use management utility to format the HDD in AivX.
Point your mouse cursor to "My Computer" and click right mouse button.
2) Select "Management", "Disk Management" to make new partition.
3) You will find the list of disk drive on the right side.
Point your mouse cursor to HDD of AivX(unallocated) and click right mouse button.
4) Select "New partition".

5) Select the partition type and press "Next" to format the HDD.

6) "New Partition Wizard" will run. Click "Next" to proceed.



7) Select "Primary partition", and click "Next".

8) When you finish the new partition wizard, you will get the following wizard.
Select "Finish" to complete.

13. I can see AivX on my PC but, I can't see it on TV, what should I do?
Please make sure that the HDD in AivX is partitioned into "1 Primary".
If it is partitioned to "Logical drive" or "Extended partition", it can't be shown on TV.
lf you get a message saying "HDD mount fail" on TV, you should
check if the HDD inside AivX is partitioned to "Primary".

14. How can I change the partition type?
a. Point your mouse cursor to "My Computer" and click the right mouse button on it.
b. Select "Management" and click "Disk Management".
c. You will see the list of disk drive.
d. Point your mouse cursor to "logical drive or extended partition" bar, click right mouse button on it.
e. Select "Remove the logical(or extended) drive".
f. Click right mouse button on the same position and select "Remove the partition".
g. Disk status will be changed to "unallocated"
h. Click right mouse button on the same position and select "Create new partition".
i. Press next button to partition & format the HDD in AivX.
j. When you finish the partition & format successfully, you can find a new HDD volume in
"My Computer".

15. My video file includes DTS sound, how can I hear this sound?
AivX can't support DTS sound.
To hear the DTS sound you need to buy coaxial receiver for digital 5.1ch.

16. When I see the movie, I can't see subtitle, what should I do?
Please make sure that the file name is same as movie (video) file.
You should check if the subtitle file has an error.
If there is an error in subtitle file, it can't be shown on TV.

17. When I see the movie the sound is out of sync with picture, what should I do?
You can control the sync between sound and picture by using remote control.
Press "1" to set back 0.5 second.
Press "3" to set forward 0.5 second.

18. When I copy video file to AivX, it takes a long time.
AivX supports High-Speed USB2.0.
If your system supports USB1.1 speed, AivX works at 1Mbyte/sec.
To support USB2.0, you need to add USB2.0 host controller on your PC.
